RobotChallenge Nigeria is the official national robotics championship platform responsible for organizing and coordinating Nigeria's participation in the global RobotChallenge competitions. The 2026 edition marks Nigeria's Maiden National Championship, organized by Techware Innovation Limited (RobotKraftAfrica).

We welcome primary school students, secondary school students, universities and polytechnics, robotics hubs, independent teams, and corporate innovation teams. Each team must have a coach for participants who are minors.

The National Championship will be held on May 20-21, 2026 at Nile University, Abuja. The National Robotics Hackathon follows on May 22, 2026 at the same venue.

RobotChallenge Nigeria features over 20 categories including Sumo Robotics (Mega, Mini, Micro, Nano, Humanoid), Combat Robots, Line Follower categories, Maze & Navigation, Football & Sports Robotics, Freestyle & Creativity, and the RC.CODE Programming Championship (Scratch, Python, C++, CREATiCODE).

Registration is done through our website. Select your competition category, complete team details, submit robot specifications (where applicable), pay the registration fee, and receive your official confirmation. Minimum team size is 1 participant, with maximum based on category rules.

RC.CODE is our programming championship where participants compete in coding challenges across Scratch, Python, C++, and CREATiCODE. The competition focuses on logic, creativity, and problem-solving skills, and is open to all experience levels from beginner to advanced.

Yes! Outstanding teams will qualify to represent Nigeria at RobotChallenge China, Minoan RobotSports Competition (Greece / Romania), and other international robotics platforms. This is one of the most exciting aspects of the championship.

The National Robotics Hackathon takes place on May 22, 2026, the day after the championship finals. It features an AI & Robotics Innovation Challenge with team-based problem solving, industry mentor sessions, and prototype demonstrations.

RobotChallenge Nigeria collaborates with the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), National Mathematical Centre (NMC), TD4PAI, and accredited schools and robotics hubs nationwide. We are continuously expanding partnerships with institutions, private sector organizations, and technology stakeholders.
